The Kamloops Junior Blazers is a youth hockey development program designed to help kids reach their maximum potential in the game of hockey. We provide an opportunity for young hockey players to develop their on-ice skills at an accelerated pace and foster an environment where parents and families can share an enjoyable hockey experience with their children. The Kamloops Junior Blazers will provide quality coaching that will promote both personal and team growth. We will push you to become the best player you can be.
PLAYER DEVELOPMENT FIRST - WINNING SECOND
The Kamloops Junior Blazers main focus is on development of young talented hockey players. We strive to win - but not win at all costs. Through striving for goals that are difficult to acquire, players learn sportsmanship, gain leadership skills and develop initiative. When we keep winning in perspective, we produce players who continue to love the game of hockey, who strive for excellence and who grow with praise and constructive criticism. With proper leadership, we produce players who accept responsibility, who accept others and most of all accept themselves. The Kamloops Junior Blazers organization and its teams are committed to this philosophy.
We offer a year round hockey program with 3 main components:
Our 2017 program will feature several development and training camps throughout the traditional minor hockey season. Identification camps and player recruitment for the Junior Blazer Spring Hockey teams will continue throughout the fall and winter season with final selection camps taking place in late December and team announcements by mid-January. The Spring Hockey Team season will run from late March to early June with the inaugural Junior Blazers Spring Hockey Championships being scheduled over 3 weekends in April for the various team divisions. Summer skills and development camps will run through July and August as preseason prep camps for the following minor hockey season.
